LIGHTING FRYDAY A HUGE SUCCESS
02/10/04 Lighting Fryday was a huge success with stella performances from all the featured acts, Bravecaptain, Zebrinski, Mugison, Richard James and Howard Marks. However it was never going to be possible to upstage the final set as performed by the SFA. It was a non stop energy ride from start to finish which from the outset got the crowd out of the restrictive confines of the RFH seating and crammed into the narrow aisles of the theatre. It ended with the remixed TMDGAF and a final role call of all the stage characters from all the previous years shows including the Aliens, the Mad Monks, Father and child Yeti, Silver Surfers and the Terminator.
Superfurry.com got off its collective butt and filmed and recorded the whole lot live and will be putting up the highlights on the website over the next few days. As for a full cut of the show we'll have to see if its feasible?
You might also like to know that we will be creating a brand new Flash front end and content structure for the website aimed towards celebrating the SFA's past whilst looking forward to the new album. Plus we finally found a decent message board that will work with the site..member photo albums, avatars, sigs, easy view/nav, file uploads, rankings, profiles etc.

GUTO'S iTUNES PLAYLIST
Guto recently selected his favourite songs of all time for an iTunes playlist. His selection is below and you can download all the tracks on iTunes.
Love - Alone Again Or
The opening track from my favourite album of all time.
Orbital - Belfast
They took the techno scene of the early 90's to another level by playing live and making albums. They were always my highlight whenever they played Glastonbury.
Jimmy Cliff - The Harder They Come
I've great memories of this tune, it was played over the tannoy after the final whistle when Wales beat Italy in Cardiff last year.
Beach Boys - Feel Flows
From the surf's up LP, we listenened to this loads when we started the band.
Ennio Morricone - L'uomo Dell'Armonica
From the movie once upon a time in the west, we used this as an intro tune for a while.
The Orb - Little Fluffy Clouds
A bit like Pink Floyd, but not as posh.
The Specials - Friday Night, Saturday Morning
A tune for binge drinkers everywhere.
The Damned - Neat Neat Neat
Still a damn fine live band.
Goldie Lookin Chain - Roller Disco
The pride of Newport, south wales.
Junior Byles - Curly Locks
I'm a big fan of Lee Scratch Perry, this is one of my favourites from a huge back catalogue.
